Actonians II v Ealing Trailfinders 1871 III
Local rivals met together for a high scoring fast paced game with Actonian's II returning to winning ways. Despite conceding first the first half ended evenly at 17 all. The scoring opened for Acton with number 8 Josh Nagle breaking the line and scoring under the posts. Declan bambrick’s boot converted the try and slotted a penalty shortly after. A converted try from Alexandre Debacker who had Rapha Losson in support gave Acton a larger lead however Ealing manged to pull two tries back before the end of the half.
In the second half Acton ramped up the scoring with frequent attacking options. Line breaks from Oliver Jones and Alexander Debacker always remained a threat while the ball was shifted round the pitch by number 10 Edward Maguire and 9 Andy Perch. The forwards kept set pieces simple and effective maintaining position and crashing the ball up. Joe Maguire-Rouse made a return to rugby this year even scoring a try.
Acton scored a few other tries in a row however Ealing towards the end of the second half got a few back. The game ended after a last try for Ealing however was too late to snatch the win back from Acton. It was a good result for Acton however we have plenty to work on as we look forward to playing Finsbury Park 2nds on Presidents Day
